Hamilton Island is perfectly located just off the Queensland coast of Australia and the edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Of the 74 Whitsunday Islands, it is the largest inhabited island, positioned about halfway between Brisbane and Cairns. The only island in the Great Barrier Reef with its own commercial jet airport, access is easy with direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Cairns.
